MEG’S THOUGHTS THIS WEEK

• So, we spent 10 days in Europe on a European river cruise and it was AMAZING! The trip started in Basel, Switzerland and then we took the Rhine River up to Amsterdam. It was a great way to see so many places. The towns were very medieval which felt like we stepped back in time and entered into a fairytale. We also explored a historic castle and were able to do a private tour to the top of the Cologne Cathedral! I love history and what also made the trip so neat was that we visited some parts of Germany in the Black Forest region where my ancestors are from, and they also traveled up the Rhine River to Amsterdam to travel to America in the 1700’s! My favorite part was being able to see the medieval architecture.

MATT’S PICKS THIS WEEK 

• We just got back from trying the new Mexican City-style taco shop opened up by our friends Katsuji Tanabe and Anthony Rapillo, and it was seriously the best tacos we have had in a longggg time! La Taqueria by Katsuji is a must try, and we will be repeat customers 100%!

• We live in downtown Raleigh and we love living downtown for this phase of our lives. And one of the things we love to do is go on walks around town, especially to Boulted Bread! This is a gem of Raleigh no doubt. Everything about their products are amazing, so if you are looking for one of the best croissants you will ever have, then check them out!
